How does digital printing work?
Digital printing is when ink is printed directly onto media, and it is similar to how a home printer works but on a larger scale. Digital printers usually print in CMYK, which is made up of Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y) and Black (K).
The image is split into these different colours and prints as a set of percentages of each colour to make up the desired colours on the design/image on the print. For example, if you were to digitally print 100% magenta and 100% yellow, the colour will turn out to be red. These percentages vary across the whole print with very small sections making up each colour, revealing the image.
