Flat cut letters are only as good as their fixings. We supply plastic, brass and nickel locators, through-face stand-off locators, welded studs or rods on metal letters, and VHB tape, chosen to suit the material. Aluminium is the everyday choice: light, rigid and available from 2.5 mm (0.10 in) to 10 mm (0.39 in), ready for powder coating. Stainless steel adds brushed or mirror metal for façades and receptions. Perspex® cast acrylic brings colour and UV resistance, and our CO2 laser leaves smooth edges with no flame polishing needed. Composite and foam board offer economical alternatives.
Mounting flat cut letters on stand-off locators lifts them off the wall, so each letter casts a shadow line that adds depth without the cost of a built-up letter. The stand-off height should suit the letter size, legibility and the shadow you want, and we’ll advise at quotation. Flat cut letters (also called flat-cut lettering) are precision 2D letters and logos cut from sheet material: a versatile, cost-effective alternative to built-up letters. We laser or router cut them in-house in the UK to your artwork, in aluminium, stainless steel, Perspex® acrylic, composite or foam board, finished in powder-coated colours, vinyl or print faces, or brushed and mirror metal.
Every set can be supplied with matching fixings, from locators and stand-offs to welded studs or VHB tape, plus drilling templates where needed. Mounted flush or on stand-offs, they suit shopfront fascias, sign trays, reception walls and wayfinding.
