Projecting or end-mounted signs offer maximum visibility in rural settings where traffic speeds are typically low. This professional guide outlines the correct procedure for assembling and mounting a double-sided sign to a single post using our specialist offset bracket and uni-clamp system. This guide assumes a post is already in-situ.
*Please note: this sign system can also be mounted with screw bands if the post diameter is unknown or does not conform to uni-clamp sizes.
Assembled Double-sided End Mounted Sign
Uni-clamps (or screw bands if post diameter is larger or unknown)
M8 Square Head Bolts, Nut & Washers (included with every uni-clamp purchase)
Appropriate Wrench / Spanner for M8 Fixings (13mm)
Slide the uni-clamps onto the post.
Important: Keep the clamps a little loose at this stage. They must be able to slide freely to allow for perfect alignment once the sign panel is introduced.
Offer the sign panel up to the post. The sign utilizes a specialized 'offset bracket' that allows the sign to project outwards from a single point of fix.
Engagement: Slot the loose uni-clamps into position behind the offset bracket as shown in the technical diagrams.
Securing: Once the sign is at the desired height (2.1 metres over a footway, or 2.4 metres over a cycleway) and level, tighten the bolts on the uni-clamps to lock the assembly in place.
Your double-sided end-mounted sign is now complete. Conduct a final check to ensure all fixings are high-torque tightened and the sign is perpendicular to the post.
