How to Assemble and Mount a Double Sided Post Mounted Sign Panel

Double-sided post-mounted sign systems are a professional and durable solution for roadside and commercial signage. The system uses industry standard channel rails, clips, and bolts to provide a secure installation, effectively enabling two signs to co-exist as a single entity. Follow the guide below for a smooth assembly. Step 4 onwards can be followed if a sign is being added to a pre-existing sign installation.

Tools & Parts Required

• Sign posts (round or square, depending on your specification)

• Post caps or finials for posts

• Steel baseplates (recommended for round posts to prevent rotation)

• Square head bolts (included with any clips purchase)

• Post clips

• Back-to-back clips

• Spanner or socket wrench

Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions

1. Prepare the Posts

Dig your post holes and install the sign posts in the required positions. Ensure they are level and securely set in the foundations.

2. Fit Caps or Finials

Attach your chosen caps or finials to the top of each post to complete the post preparation stage.

3. Install the First Sign Panel (Sign 1)

Slide square head bolts and the non-bolt side of the post clips into the channel rail on the back of the first sign panel. The bolts should preferably be located to the inside of the sign.

Position the sign panel against the posts.

Wrap the clips around each post and connect them to the bolts.

Secure in place using spacers and nuts, tightening with a spanner.

4. Add Back-to-Back Clips

Slide the non-bolt side of the back-to-back clips into the exposed channel rail of the first sign panel. These will serve as the fixing points for the rear sign.

5. Install the Second Sign Panel (Sign 2)

Slide square head bolts into the channel rail of the second sign panel.

Position the panel so it sits neatly against the first sign panel.

Insert the bolts through the back-to-back clips.

Tighten in place using nuts and bolts.

6. Final Checks

Once all bolts are tightened, ensure both panels are aligned and secure. Your installation is complete, your double sided post mounted sign is now ready.
