Aluminium: The Best Material for Signage Systems
AI. 13. Alumium. Aluminum. Aluminium. Whichever name or acronym you know it by, aluminium is the core of our business, and for good reason! Durability and strength are just two of the many benefits aluminium brings to our signage systems, and in turn, our customers and their end users.
Simply put: we believe aluminium represents the best balance between durability, fabricability & recyclability.
Aluminium is very durable; rather than oxidise and disintegrate as steel does, any exposed surface develops a stable oxidised layer which doesn't flake off but instead acts as a protective shield against further corrosion.
Powder coating allows a near limitless colour pallet and finish combination.
Aluminium can be cut, folded, curved and welded into any manner of shapes and sizes.
Aluminium is also near infinitely recyclable. While primary production is energy-intensive, recycling requires just 5% of that energy and the process causes no material degradation; any aluminium produced can be used again and again. As a further carbon footprint offset measure our aluminium billet is sourced from plants powdered by hydro-electric generation.
