Prototyping in Progress

We’ve been installing a lot of new machinery in the first half of 2025, and with new machinery comes renewed inspiration for product design. At Ashby, innovation often begins with a simple idea, and our process is hands-on from the very start.

Low-profile, energy-efficient illumination is an increasingly desired solution across a wide range of signage applications, and we’re setting out to see just how low we can go. Pictured here is one of our 3D printers producing an early-stage prototype for a new system currently in development.

We’re exploring ways to refine structural design, minimise overall depth, and integrate advanced lighting technology, without compromising strength or visual impact. Like many of our product lines, this system is being developed entirely in-house, combining digital design, rapid prototyping, and real-world signage expertise.
