We ran a stealth marketing campaign... and it turns out we were too stealthy.

As a little experiment, we tucked a £250 account credit giveaway into the corner of some of our emails. We didn't do much, no big banners, no pop-ups, just a quiet nudge.
Our hypothesis? Hardly anyone actually reads the marketing bits in emails.
Our conclusion? Confirmed. Even the winner didn’t realise they’d entered, but certainly enjoyed the outcome!
So while we didn’t gain a tidal wave of new followers, we did gain some insight (every day is a school day):
? People skim emails
? Subtlety is overrated
? £250 credit is still a nice surprise, even if it sneaks up on you
Maybe we should come back with something a little louder next time...
