What kind of account do I need when signing up?

In short: if you are a sign maker - or your business / industry involves signage production - you should apply for a Sign Trade account. This is a completely free membership that allows us to provide significant discounts to our sign trade partners. Your request will be manually reviewed by us. If accepted you will be sent a log in link and you can complete the sign up process. You will then see on site, and receive over the phone, sign trade prices.

If you are not a sign producing business then signing up with a Business account is the correct move, enabling you to shop with us. Business accounts are available to all, businesses users or individuals who need sign products.

I've submitted for a Sign Trade account. What happens now?

Your request will be manually reviewed by us. We may require more information from you so be sure your contact details are correct. If you have any questions about this process you can email or call us and we'll be happy to help.

During busy periods it may take us a while to process your request. Giving us a ring is always the quickest way to get in touch and we can often activate your account over the phone.

What is the best way to get a quote from Ashby?

There are several ways for Sign Makers to generate a quote -

Give us a call. This is the fastest way of getting in contact with us and a member of sales will generate your quote then and there.
Add items to your shopping basket. If you are signed in, our website is a useful tool for quoting / buying almost any sign system. Once you have an item/s in the basket you will see an option for 'add to quote'. This will generate a quote for you with no compulsion to purchase, exactly as quotes are treated if produced over the phone. Your quote will be valid for 30 days from its creation.
Use our Quick Enquiry Forms. Throughout our Sign Systems pages you will find our Quick Enquiry Forms. These have been constructed to ask you questions relevant only to the system you are viewing; thus are an efficient way for us to get the information we need to generate your quote and you won't be presented with irrelevant questions.
Email. Tried and true, you can send us an email containing any information and files you believe we'll need to generate your quote. We'll contact you for more information if required.

You will be quoted the same price regardless of how you choose to interact with us; our website and sales team both use our bespoke ERP software for price generation, so you can be confident of price consistency across our services.

I've forgotten my password - what do I do?

How can I place an order?

Simply fill your basket from our Component Shop, build a sign in Sign Builder or fill out a quick enquiry form on the Sign Systems pages. And if none of those options take your fancy you can always give us a call or send an email with the details. We'll be happy to help either way!

Have your prices increased?

Accepted Answer

Our prices are regularly reviewed, but tend to remain static and are unlikely to swing significantly. If you've noticed a large jump it may simply be that you are not signed in. Always ensure you are signed in to see our lowest prices!

Question 9

I'm a trade account customer - how can I pay my account?

Accepted Answer

You can pay your account online by logging in, or by sending us a BACS or CHAPS payment. The details will be on the bottom of your order confirmation and invoice.

Question 10

Can I have my goods delivered to a third party address?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can. At the time of order let us know where you'd like it to go and we'll plain wrap it for delivery to the third party address.

Question 11

How can I view signs with Augmented Reality?

Any sign product we have available in our Sign Builder is viewable in AR using the 'View in AR' button on the bottom left of the screen. Mobile users will have their camera app opened and a 3D model of their sign system ready to be 'placed' in the environment. Desktop users will be prompted to input an email address; opening the link from the email sent will function as above. Photographs can now be taken with your sign in the environment.

Do you have downloadable information for your products?

Yes, we have PDFs for download available from either the 'Sign Systems' pages, or via our downloads page located in 'Services & Help'.

Question 13

How can I upload artwork for my signage?

Accepted Answer

Simply reply to your order confirmation email with the files attached.

Vector files are preferred, e.g. AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and CDW, as that will enable us to amend your design quickly to align with manufacturing tolerances. CMYK colour values work best for print artwork, as that is the colour model used by our printers. This can often be found in your export settings for your design software / app if you are sending a bitmapped image. An artwork approval will be emailed to you detailing any changes we needed to make. We will not start production until you have approved.

I'm not a sign maker, can I purchase products from you?
