Clip Fitting Guide

1. Ideally the sign should be laid on the floor whilst fitting the posts as this enables the fitter ample hands to concentrate on fitting the clips. Protect the face of the sign with cardboard or bubble wrap.

2. Lay posts crossways to the channels and measure in to line up straight.
3. Position the first clip by inserting the 'foot' into channel, and twisting the clip through 90ยบ. Slide the bolt into channel, line bolt up with clip hole and push through.
4. Pinch the clip together slightly and ensure that the small tab on the bolt side of the clip fits nicely into the gap in the channel
5. Place washer onto bolt, fit nut and do up until hand tight.
6. Take a spanner and give a couple of extra turns to tighten.
7. Take care not to over tighten the nut on the bolt as this causes the Liplok bolt to rupture the inner wall of the channel. Raised pips on the inner face of these one-piece clips help prevent sign rotation so there should be no need to over tighten.
Note: fitters using a torque wrench please note - Torque wrench settings = 5kg per metre squared
